Anand reddede remis fra et formentligt tabt tårnslutspil mod Alexander Grischuk, mens Gelfand nogle timer inden havde spillet remis mod Kramnik. Peter Leko stod for rundens eneste gevinst, da han besejrede Alexander Morozevich.
